How waaave handles IP compliance, voice consent, content moderation, data retention, and posting. Written plainly — no legal jargon.
IP compliance & visual sourcing
- waaave never hotlinks or embeds third-party images directly in any generated content.
- All Pinterest-sourced visuals (Track F) pass through a Reve 2.0 image reproduction step before use. This produces an original AI-generated frame inspired by the reference, not a copy of it.
- Generated images from all tracks are screened with an NSFW detection model (fal.ai). Any frame scoring above our 0.7 threshold is blocked from proceeding and the pipeline fails explicitly.
- Trend research uses Virlo's velocity data and creator analysis — we analyse format mechanics, not copy content. Your scripts are written from scratch by Claude Sonnet 4.6 and reference only structural patterns.
- You are responsible for ensuring your product, claims, and visuals comply with TikTok's advertising policies and any applicable advertising standards in your jurisdiction.
Voice cloning consent
- Voice cloning requires an explicit consent checkbox before any voice sample is processed: "I authorise waaave to generate speech in my voice for content I have approved."
- Voice samples are processed by ElevenLabs via fal.ai. We store your ElevenLabs voice ID in Convex — not the raw audio file.
- Your voice is used only for your own approved content. We do not use voice data for training, for other users, or for any purpose outside your content pipeline.
- You can revoke consent and delete your voice clone at any time from your Settings → Voice tab. Deletion removes the voice ID from your account and the associated ElevenLabs voice from our account.
NSFW detection
- Every image generated in Stages 6 and 9 (visual generation, thumbnail) is screened by fal.ai's NSFW detection model before moving to the next stage.
- Frames scoring above 0.7 on the NSFW scale block the pipeline run and mark the job as failed. You are notified in your dashboard.
- Video content (Tracks A, B, C, D) is not frame-extracted for NSFW screening pre-compositing — frame extraction requires FFmpeg, which runs in Stage 10. If you believe generated video content is inappropriate, use the 'Regenerate' action in Stage 11 review.
- Track F (Pinterest sourcing): all sourced images are screened before and after the Reve 2.0 reproduction pass.
Data retention & storage
- Generated media assets (video, audio, thumbnails, subtitles) are stored in Google Cloud Storage in the us-central1 region with a 30-day automatic deletion lifecycle rule. After 30 days, files are permanently deleted.
- Your metadata (niche configuration, product data, analytics records, credit ledger, job history) is stored in Convex indefinitely until you delete your account.
- Voice samples used to create a clone are submitted to ElevenLabs via fal.ai and are subject to ElevenLabs' data retention policies. waaave stores only the resulting voice ID.
- You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion flow in Settings. Account deletion is irreversible.
Official API posting only
- waaave posts to TikTok via Zernio, a certified TikTok marketing partner using the official Content Posting API. We do not use browser automation, unofficial endpoints, or grey-zone posting tools.
- Trending audio is applied natively at the posting stage via TikTok's API — not embedded in the video file. This is the approach recommended by TikTok and carries no reach penalty.
- Zernio handles scheduling, post confirmation, and webhook delivery. Your TikTok credentials are managed entirely through Zernio's OAuth flow — waaave never sees your TikTok login credentials.
Acceptable use
- waaave's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits: misleading health, earnings, or financial claims; content sexualising minors or any minor-targeted exploitation; IP infringement in paid advertising; and content designed to deceive consumers about product effectiveness.
- You are responsible for all content generated through your account. waaave provides tools and guardrails — content liability for claims made in your videos rests with you as the publisher.
- We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate our AUP without notice. Repeated violations of TikTok's advertising policies surfaced through our pipeline will result in account suspension.
